So, when you jump rope, it helps to build explosiveness in your lower body extremities. At the same time, it works on your cardiovascular fitness and stamina. See, quickness comes from being relaxed in your extremities, keeping your spine erect, and keeping your abs drawn in so that you don't waste movements and hurt yourself. When you're jumping with the rope, pick any rope -- something light. It teaches you how to be quick on your feet by staying on the balls of your feet and bouncing side to side. If you're good at one minute, try two minutes. If you're good at two minutes, try three minutes. But, always remain relaxed.
