Hi I'm Linden Schaffer and I'm here today to talk to you about your daily recommended allowances of fish oil. Fish oils are Omega 3 fatty acids which are super important for us to have in our body for our overall health. Unfortunately our body does not produce Omega 3 fatty acids so we need to obtain them through our diet and through supplements. The daily recommended amount for Omega 3 fatty acids can vary for everybody but if you get capsules with 1,200 mgs. of DHA and EPA which are the two most important Omega 3 fatty acids, you'll be good. You need to take these three times a day with meals which can be a lot of work especially if you are running from home to work. Instead, fish oil also comes in a concentrated liquid form if this is easier for you. The good news is it doesn't take like fish but it is quite oily and leaves a weird aftertaste in your mouth so I would recommend having something like a grape or some other kind of tart fruit nearby that you can just bite into to cut that aftertaste. If you are pregnant, Omega 3 fatty acids are really important for the development of the brain and the nervous system in your fetus but like anything when it comes to your intake of supplements, please consult a professional before you mess with the dosage.
