I'm Andrew Chaddick, personal trainer at the Houstonian Club, and this is four way stretch band exercises. Now the four way stretch band is a great exercise tool comprised of two resistance bands joined together at the middle. Now these are manufactured that way, or you can make your own simply by tying two resistance bands together. This is a great tool for working both the upper and lower body at the same time to maximize your workout time and shred your body. Three of the best exercises with the four way stretch band are star jacks, the squat to press and alternate arm and leg. For the star jack, we'll start with one handle around each foot and one handle in each hand. From a narrow squat position with the hands approaching the feet, we'll explode up extending all ends at the same time and ending in a big star. For the squat to press exercise, we'll start with the same position with one handle around each foot and one handle in each hand. We'll load the shoulders and explode from a squat position all the way fully extending through the hips and the arms into a straight up and down position. Finally, for the alternate arm and leg, we'll start on a hands and knees position with a handle in each hand and a handle on each foot, and we'll extend one arm and the opposite leg and alternate back and forth. And these are three of the best four way stretch band exercises.
