Hi, I'm Jennifer Edward and this is healthy eating policies for kindergarten. First and foremost, I think the most important thing to do for a kindergarten age child is to stay away from processed foods. As parents, it's our job to make sure that our kids are eating healthy and making the best choices they can. We should give them better choices. Having things such as vegetables, fruits, nuts, those are the kind of snacks that they should be eating, much better than candy, ice cream, chips. It's a lot better for them and it's much better policy when it comes to eat, what your kids should be eating. Also, what they drink. Stay away from sodas, stay away from fruit juices that are artificially-flavored. You want to stick with something as simple as water. Water is something that they need everyday and it's great for their bodies. It's going to help them grow, it's going to, it's what they need. Also, try packing their lunch for them. I mean, let's be honest, schools don't have the best lunches, they don't serve the best food. They serve a lot of processed stuff, they serve a lot of artificially flavored things. So you as a parent can make sure that your child's eating healthy, you can pack their lunch to make sure they have a good balanced meal. You teach them the best policy for eating correctly.
