Richard Neil is a licensed, certified massage therapist. His technique of healing bodywork incorporates the various modalities in which he's been trained: deep tissue, Swedish, shiatsu, acupressure, reflexology, and kinesiology. The "recipe" of the massage is defined by the individual client's needs. The overall goal is a calming, enjoyable experience, one in which the client will walk away feeling more energy, more flexibility, better alignment, and relief from muscular tension and mental stress. Richard also incorporates his training in kinesiology and muscle testing to strengthen specific organs with accupressure and meridian alignment, creating better circulation and a stronger lymphatic system. Richard is a graduate of The Pacific School of Massage and Healing Arts in Gualala, California where he studied with the master, Dr. Fred Mitour. He also attended The Massage School of Santa Monica furthering his knowledge of Deep Tissue work with Marcel Salomon.

RICHARD NEIL: So grasping Sarah's wrist here, I'm going to be pulling the fingers, each one individually and just kinda snapping it off to the finger nail there, stretching the fingers. When you crack, that's okay but don't try to make them crack. What I like to do also is I turn the palm over and kinda do a crab, I'd like to call it a crab pull. Almost like stretching out the palm and using some, two thumbs to pull away the flesh, creating an openness there, working the inside of that palm area. And then we finish off this little hand work here by what is called the great eliminator. For some reason it is named that in ancient times, the great eliminator. Supposedly, it eliminates headaches, toothaches among other aches; I'm sure, pulling this fleshy part between the index and the thumb. You can do this to yourself sometimes if you have a migraine or just an aching headache or toothache. Put pressure here between this fleshy web-like part and just hold it down there. It's a very intense acupressure point. So finishing up here with the great eliminator, we will come back and we'll finish our work with--on the hands.
