Proper Attire: What do we wear to work out? I know that seams like a silly question for a lot of you. But if you are new to fitness, and if you are, I am so glad that you are here. My goal isn't to turn people into fitness freaks, but to find the right way to turn people onto fitness. This might be your thing. Let's talk about clothing just a little bit. First of all, I am dressed in a basic workout outfit. You can come in your jeans, in your shorts; you really don't have to go anywhere to buy anything. If you have clothes, and I am sure that you do, you can workout on the playground. Especially if you are coming with your kids, of if you have something else to do in-between and you don't want to change, it is o.k. Don't go out and spend a bunch of money on fitness clothes if you don't have it. However, what I will say to you is this, for some of the stuff that we are going to do it would help to have stretchy clothing on. I've go Capri?s on, these are kind of cool if it is hot in the summer, and these are really nice. Tennis shoes are extremely important, there are cross training shoes and there are running shoes. For the type of activity that we are going to do, I suggest cross trainers, more arched support. We aren't going to be doing a lot of running. A decent pair of socks. As far as your top, something that you can move around in. We will be doing push-ups and pulling your body up. Anything that is kind of close fitting, if you are going to be in a position where you are going to be hanging down somewhere. Something that you are comfortable with and you're not going to feel self conscience in, that is what is important. Tennis shoes are probably the most important thing to have as far as your accessories. Other than that if you have a t-shirt on, if you have jeans, like I said if you have shorts. If you have shorts, if you want to wear bike shorts. It really doesn't matter; the point here is if you can move around and you are comfortable, and you have some support, you are probably fine. A. Probably what you have in your closet is fine. B. I would suggest cross trainers and then tennis shoes. C. Don't go spend a bunch of money on fitness clothing if you don't have it.
