ANGIE SCHNEIDER: Hi. I am Angie with the Youth Hockey Foundation of Austin and we are going to demonstrate how to pass a puck. We are going to do a forehand pass today for you. So the most important thing, we will have Jim demonstrate over there and he will pass it to me. The puck is going to be on your back foot. Again, it is like you are shooting; you are transferring your weight from your back foot to your front. It is a sweeping motion with the puck going from the heel of your blade around off the stick to the toe of your blade. You are going to follow through pointing at your target. If you notice the sweeping motion, Jim is not hitting at the puck when he passes it. It stays on his stick and as he releases, there is a spin that keeps it flat on the ice. And that is how you pass the puck.
