About this Author
Franco Peraza is a highly seasoned and versatile Professional Ballroom and Latin Dance Instructor. Originally from Central California, Franco has taught for the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in addition to teaching independently at dance studios from the West to East Coasts. He owned and operated Studio 65 Dance Sport Center for 10 years. Throughout his career, Franco has choreographed and produced in-house shows, in addition to productions for stage, television and film, plus commercials for television and film. Now residing in NYC, Franco continues his passion for teaching at Stepping Out Studios. Valerie Levine has been dancing since the age of four, and has a background in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Hip-Hop, Modern, Belly Dance, American Smooth, American Rhythm, and experience in Latin and Standard. She has instructed and competed Pro-Am with her students up through Full Silver level. She is also a competitive Pre-Gold level ice dancer and, through the United States Figure Skating Association, at Senior level moves in the field. She is currently performing professionally for the NHL Hockey team, the New York Islanders, as an Ice Girl. Valerie also skates as an apprentice for the performance on ice company, Ice Theater of New York.
