Minoxidil was initially use for blood pressure medication and has discovered the patients that took minoxidil had hair growth on their bodies. Since that time, it's been used in its topical form to help men and women with thinning hair. It's not intended for patients that have complete baldness but assists growth and patients that have mild or moderate thinning of their hair in the frontal or crown regions of their scalp. Patients are instructed to apply the Rogaine to their scalp and massage it in gently twice a day.
