DR. GREGORY NIKOLAIDIS: Hi, I'm Dr. Gregory Nikolaidis with Westlake Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery here discussed how to remove acne scars with laser technology. Acne scars can come in a number of different forms including (SOUNDS LIKE)pedi-acne scars and box type acne scars, as well as rolling type acne scars. A number of different lasers have been used for the improvement of these type of scars on the face. The most common lasers used for reduction of acne scars are the CO2 Laser, Plasma Resurfacing, and Urbium Laser. In our practice, we prefer to use the Fraxel both in Urbium form and the new Fraxel CO2 or Re:pair to reduce the appearance of acne scars. If I'll be using the laser in a fractionated approach, we're able to get better skin tightening and better reduction appearance of acne scars.
