JEFF COHEN: Hello, I'm Jeff Cohen. In this segment, we're going to talk about how to play on grass. First of all, there aren't a whole lot of grass courts around. So if you've had the pleasure of playing or you're on your way to play in a grass court then you're really in for quite a treat. When playing on grass courts, the balls have a tendency not to bounce, so the ball bounces quite low. So what you really want to do is you want to try to get into the net as quickly as possible. The points are going to be very, very short. And if you're a serve and volley, you're going to eat this stuff up. If you have a big western grip and you like to hang back behind the baseline, you're not going to enjoy quite as much as the guy that likes to come in and hit volleys and overheads and serving volleys. So really when you're playing on grass, it's a very forgiving surface. It's a lot of fun. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience and definitely try to get to the net before your opponent does.
