JULES HELM: Hello, my name is Jules Helm. TALIA CASTRO-POZO: Hi, my name is Talia Castro-Pozo. JULES HELM: And we're both instructors here at Stepping Out Studios in New York City. In this clip we're going to learn how to do the "Leader's left turn with waist wrap" which can be done in both Salsa and Mambo. Here we go. We're going to jump right in. When the leaders go--let's actually learn the left turn. We'll learn it together. So we have leader starting forward, quick, quick. That's a preparation. So one more time. We're rotating, quick, quick, slow. Then we finish the turn, quick, quick, slow. One more time. We have a front break with the preparation and we finish it out. Good. Taking this in a dance position, here's what it looks like. You're going to take, as a leader you've done maybe one basics or several basics and you have a little preparation of yourself putting your partner's hand on your waist so you can rotate around either to a handshake hold or back to a step of two or regular two handhold. So again, watching that. This is obviously improving balance. Posture has to be in good order to be standing up and the coordination clear.
