KYLE HUTCHENS: My name is Kyle Hutchens. We are going to talk a little bit about trying to throw a good curve ball. First off, you want to start with your grip. People have different ideas but you want to get somewhere along the seams on the skinny side over here where the seams come together like that. Because if you're doing it like this, grabbing it along the seams, I will put one finger up--and people have different views and it kind of depends on the pitcher, what they feel they get the best break out of. But either/or, it works. It just kind of depends on you as the pitcher. So we'll start right there. When you come through, just your normal pitching stance, come through, you step one back, through through, come through and bend. And when you come through, you want to come through and you want to snap that wrist down. That creates that speed and that creates that drop. It creates a little bit more--less off the velocity of what your fast ball would be, but it helps create it and it creates that drop. So that way, when the pitcher, when it comes through and it kind of have that 12 to 6. When you are here at 12 down here at 6, you want to try and create that drop, so that way it kind of creates more misses from the batters. I will kind of walk you through the step one more time. Step back, through through, just normal pitching, come through. When you get here, this is where you want to come down and snap through the ball and you release at that time. I will walk you again through a full-speed version of what it looks like. That is a pretty good one.
