LAURIE LAING: So we're getting on the lift. The first thing you want to do when you're waiting in line is take your poles and the straps off your hands. You want to hold them in your hand until you're ready to go to the lift. You pull up to the front of the line. And when it's your turn, you move forward with the help of the lift operator. Put your poles in one hand on the left side. You look back to your right if you're standing on the right. You put your poles in the left hand and look to the back on your left side if you're getting on in the left side. All right, here we go. Moving up, getting ready to sit on the lift. You want to take your poles in your hand, turn and look back, sit down, put your back against the seat, and you're out of here. Okay, when approaching the top, what you want to do is put your poles in your hand, take your feet off the bar, push the safety bar up over your head, scoot forward, keeping those ski tips up, you want to stand up and push away.
