DR. LISA RHODES: Hi, I'm Dr. Lisa Rhodes at Westlake Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery. So you were unlucky out in the sun and got a sunburn. The best thing to do is avoid irritation to the area and keep it cool and dry. You can look for cooling lotions at any of your pharmacies or grocery stores. And some of them contain aloe vera which can be really helpful in soothing the skin. I also recommend taking some anti-inflammatory such as ibuprofen, to help decrease the inflammation and help the area feel better quicker.
