And the studies have shown that really the best ones are ones that contain retinoids. These are available over the counter and in prescription form. And one of the main ways they work is by exfoliating the top layer of your skin. This can show itself as irritation, redness, and scaling when you start using the medicine, so I recommend starting very slowly with any wrinkle cream that you're using. Start doing it every other day and see if you're getting irritated. If you're getting significant irritation, cut back to every third day. If after a couple of weeks of doing every other day, you're not noticing any irritation, go up to everyday and see how you do. The most important step in any wrinkle cream regimen is to make sure that you're using a good sunblock in the morning along with the wrinkle creams. So, look for at least an SPF 15 in your facial moisturizer.
