DR. LISA RHODES: Hi, I'm Dr. Lisa Rhodes with Westlake Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery. Acne prone skin can be difficult to deal with. And the best first thing to try are medicated washes that are available at any grocery store or pharmacy. Ones that contained benzyl peroxide or salicylic acid are the best and I recommend putting them on, letting them sit for a second or two before you rinse them off. They can help kill the bacteria and unclog the pores and can help in mild cases of acne.
