MALU LUJAN: Okay, so we're going to be massaging the neck, and we're going to use a little bit of massage oil. You really don't need massage oil to massage the neck, but it's always nice to reduce the friction and especially for some of the techniques it makes it a little easier. And rub that in and I'm going to take my palms and put them on either side of her spine and rub down to the shoulders, and I'll come back up. Fingers on either side of the spine. Again, we don't want to touch any bones, really. You can sort of work in between the crevices of the vertebrae, but you don't want to touch the bones. And this is just a simple effleurage using the fingertips. So we're going to be doing a little bit of massage with our thumbs, and I'm just making some circles here. And I'm basically rubbing in the top of the shoulder where it meets the beginning of the neck in between the vertebrae. And if you just feel some little spaces in there between muscle tissue and in between the vertebrae, you can kind of do little circles with you thumbs. That feels really, really good. You don't have to use a lot of pressure. Ah, she's saying ah. You don't have to use a lot of pressure, but you can. You have to ask the person what's good for them. Another thing you can do is you can take the ball of your hand and rub upward and downward. Is that pressure okay, Sally?
