MELISA BROWN: Hi, my name is Melisa Brown and I'm a licensed massage therapist here in Miami, Florida. I'm with U Need A Massage. In this clip, I'm going to be talking about how to massage the calf muscles. Now, I'm using a very small amount of oil and I'm going to be doing a gliding stroke towards the head, towards the heart, just doing a gliding stroke. And I'm going to be using the palm of my hand. You can do both hands at the same time, or I can just do one alternating. I'm going to take it from the side. And I'm going to do it like a locomotion on both sides of the calf working down towards the foot. I'm also doing some kneading. And I'm facing the leg. I'm not facing anything else. I'm facing the leg and then bring it up with some compressions. Finish it up. And again, compressing and gliding. And I'm not putting pressure on the back of the knee. And rotations. Doing a locomotion and kneading. For the kneading, I'm using this part of my hand. I'm not using my fingers.
