MELISA BROWN: Hi, my name is Melisa Brown and I'm a licensed massage therapist here in Miami, Florida. I'm with U Need A Massage. In this clip, we're going to be talking about how to massage away a headache. There are certain different types of headache. So after you've asked your body where the headache is specifically, if it's on the left side or on the right side, if its starting from the base of the neck, maybe even the shoulders, then that way it will gear you to where you need to be a little bit more specifically. But just by starting and holding at the base of the head at the top of the neck, all I'm doing is I'm cupping my hands and just resting there and just resting. Second, I'm going to be giving a nice long stretch to the neck so we can start opening up all the muscles in the neck. I'm going to do that up and I'm going to do that from side to side. I'm going to be pushing on the shoulders and I'm going to turn the head to the other side, and I'm never going to go too fast because there's people who suffer from vertigo, and then I'm going to be pressing on to the shoulder. Coming back down, I'm going to be holding right here at the base of the neck again, just holding. And if I can dig my fingers in there, there's going to a lot more relieving of that tight, tight muscle that's holding our head.
