MELISA BROWN: Hi, my name is Melisa Brown and I'm a licensed massage therapist here in Miami, Florida. I'm with U Need A Massage. In this clip, I'm going to be talking about how to give yourself an oil massage. You don't really require that much oil. Our skin has a lot of oil already. So if I'm going to be using a little bit of oil, I'm not going to be using more than, say, this much. That's a very small amount and I'll rub it on my hands, not to rub it in, but I'm going to rub enough just to spread it on my hands and I can just go deep. I can use my body to lean in using my palm and just going up and down sliding. Now, if you want to do a mixture of oils for whatever reason, say, you've got a headache and you've already mixed some type of aromatherapy oil, some lavender, you're going to be using the oil, placing a minimal, minimal amount. You really don't need that much. Using too much might even be harmful for you. By using the oil, you can go up and down and the back of the neck. Just up and down. This is where you can use a lot of tools also, using the tools to go up and down. Using your knuckles because it's an easier glide and going up and down the neck. Be careful not to use too much of the oils on your face, you might be breaking out.
