MELISA BROWN: Hi, my name is Melisa Brown and I'm a licensed massage therapist here in Miami, Florida. I'm with U Need A Massage. We're going to talk about how to become a massage therapist in this clip. Becoming a message therapist is not as easy as you might think. There is a lot of learning that goes on, a lot of instructions. There is a lot of investigating that you're going to have to do. There is a lot of information on the Internet. It's not as easy to become a massage therapist. There is a lot of anatomy. There is a lot of physiology. There is a lot of learning of the body parts. A lot of things that you have to get to know about you before you give a massage. It can be very technical. You're best engine is the Internet. That's the best way to find out if there's something in your area. If you're going to be studying here at the United States, if you're going to be studying out abroad, there are wonderful schools all over the place, and most importantly, wherever you're going to feel comfortable where you're going to be in an environment where learning is very easy, where it just flows. Now, there are a lot of different states with a lot of different requirements for the hours that are required. Many states in the United States, they don't require any license at all. Many states require certain amount of hours. So be sure that you make that research first and find out where it is that you live and how much of this that you need. Find out through the Internet. Go visit the school, feel comfortable.
