QUIN SNYDER: When Doctor James Naismith invented the name of basketball, I do not think even he can anticipate how much joy and how much satisfaction it can bring to so many people over the years. I began playing when I was about six years old, and I know for myself and also for our players basketball gives you so many things. It gives you an opportunity to work together as a team, it keeps you in shape, and it provides you just with a great opportunity to have fun.
