CELIA DUBEY: How to teach your child to float on their back. Place your child in a back-to-chest position. Their ears can either be submerged or not. It doesn't really matter. Nice and relaxed, Savanna. Good. That's great, Savanna. You're dong fantastic. Remember to speak as calmly but excited as well. Good job, Savanna. You're doing really well. Your tune is going to--your tone, excuse me, is going to set their tone. Now, your exact position on the child's back depends on their readiness. The lower your hand, the more support you're providing for them. Good job, Savanna. As I raise my hand, good job, Savanna, I can take the other hand and place it on her chin to keep her floating. Good job, Savanna. You're doing fantastic. Nice and relaxed, Savanna. Good job. And simply maintaining the support right on the small of her back with the opposite hand. Good job, Savanna. Keep your legs straight. Good job. Awesome job, Savanna.
