On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Tony Capraro, Sensei of Kyokushin Karate, Without Limits Inc, 1652 Richmond Avenue Staten Island New York. We are here today to present to you basic Kyokushin technique. The name of our style is Kyokushin Karate. Kyokushin means Ultimate Truth. The founder, Sosei Matsuyama. He was a man that was very, very early in cross training. He was an expert in Judo, Goju Karate and Aikido. He put together a hybrid system in the infancy of early karate in the 1930's and 40's. Kyokushin Karate was used as ultimate test because he took all he knew, put everything together and challenged all comers in Japan. He was undefeated in 300 contests, bare-knuckle full contact fighting. He won the first All-Japan Full Knock Down Fighting Tournament and then started to formulate the style to the point where we could see 8 million members early on, to a point where now there are 25 to 30 million members worldwide.
