KIM ROY: In this clip, I'm going to talk about how to play racquetball. In racquetball, the score system is to 15 points, unless you're a pro, and they play it to 11. Amateurs play two out of three games to complete a whole match. So let's get started. When you're starting to play racquetball, the server stands between the two redlines. When you serve, you have the opportunity to score. This is the only time in racquetball that you have the opportunity to score when you are the server. Whoever wins the rally becomes the next server. So you want to win every single rally, so you can continue being the server and continue gaining points. The first person to 15 points wins the game. Here's the deal, you have to get the ball to the front wall before the ground every single time it's your turn to hit the ball. Whoever does not hit the ball to the front wall loses the rally. The other person becomes the server. When you're the server, you have the opportunity to gain points. You always want to win the rally. If I'm the server and my opponent hits the excellent shot that I do not hit, it's called "Sideout." He becomes the server, I do not receive a point and he doesn't receive a point. You only receive a point in racquetball when you're the server. In order to become the server, you must win the rally. You win the rally when the other person does not hit the front wall before the ground.
