Now, this is a tough one. The first thing, of course, we assume that the crying baby is well-fed and changed. Because if those needs are not met, the child is going to continue to cry no matter what you do with it. So the first way to prevent a crying baby is to make sure that you are on time with your feeding intervals and also that the child is nice and dry. The other thing that you would do is interact with the child quite a bit. When you are calming a crying baby, you want to talk softly. Use it, maybe hum a song or a lullaby or, also, sort of rock the baby. Now, there are different opinions about whether or not you should rock children, but certainly rocking a small crying baby under one year old is certainly okay. It does not spoil them for life. So when you are rocking the baby very close to you, hold them close to you. They feel the warmth and the snugness and it makes them feel more safe and content. So you want to make sure, if your child is whining and crying, first make sure all their needs are met. Lower your voice to a nice, calm, soothing, maybe lullaby or put on some music. They have, baby Mozart is one of them. And then, of course, the last thing you might try is some motion movement. Whether you are rocking the child back and forth or whether you, some babies like to be rocked up and down. But change the position of the child, hold them snuggly because that snugness makes them feel safe, and then you will stop your crying baby. Good luck.
