DEL WARREN: This segment is on how to choose bowling shoes. Well number one, most importantly, is your feet have to be comfortable, so try on several pairs. There is different price points, different styles, get something you like visually. I tend to use black, I like black shoes, because they allow me to wear different, you know, they allow me to wear jeans, or a variety of colors and slacks, but most importantly is the comfort, and there is many, many different price points in shoes depending upon what your budget is, and how often do you bowl. But if you tend to be--if you're fairly serious about the game, and I'm not really talking about how high your average is, but if you are just a serious bowler and you want to get better, I would choose a shoe that allows you to change the sole. And what I mean by that, it is just like lane conditions are different, approaches are different, and make sure that your shoes will slide properly. You don't want to come to an abrupt stop, and you certainly don't want to plant, because of the injuries that can take place with your ankles, with your knees and your back. So today, shoes are made and you can interchange the soles and the heels depending upon the amount of friction on the lane. I would really invest in a good pair of shoes if you are just a little bit serious about the game and you want to be around here for a lifetime, because these shoes will allow you to change the soles, change the heels. So, if you are bowling on a synthetic lane in Florida, and the approach tends to be a little bit sticky, it allows you to go to a sole where heel is a little bit sleeker, and vice versa. If you are bowling on a wood lane, in the winter time in Minnesota, and they tend to be a little bit sleek, you can also put on a tackier heel and a tackier sole to allow you to have the same amount of slide, no matter what the surface. And you know what that is going to protect your back, it is going to protect your knees, and it's also going to allow you to deliver the shot that you are looking for, so that you can get better and have more fun.
