EMILY LAREW: Hi. I'm in Emily Larew and we're going to talk today on how to do beginning ballet. The best way to start beginning ballet is to come center floor where you can just focus on balance and all the positions right here. So what we're going to start with is we're going to start with the first position and we we're going to do Demi-Plies. So what's very important is to make sure that your combinations are shorter and more focused that you can do lots of repetitions with Plies and your arm movements as well. So we're going to start in first position, we're going to do a Demi-Plies making sure that your booty is tucked underneath you, pelvis tucked in, stomach tight, make sure you have a nice turned out feet and here we go. So we Demi-Plies-one, squeeze two, Plies three, squeeze four Releve five, you're going to hold six and seven, lower eight. Port de bras one and two, open three, four, tendu five, six, seven, we lower eight. You're going to make sure that in each position you are in second position and you have a couple of counts just to make sure that everything feels right. You got your balance, your tucked, turn that thighs making sure your feet are where they need to be. So you're going to continue again. Squeeze it, demi plieone, squeeze two, bend three, straight and four, releve five hold six and seven, down eight. Port de bras one and two, open three nice and graceful four, tendu, six and seven fifth position eight. So just again, just make sure that your combinations when you're doing beginning ballet are center floor so you can focus on balance and that you're pulled up tight and ready to go.
