JAY GOLDEN: Hello slicers. I am going to show you how to cure your slice once and for all. Well, maybe if you slipped once you still might slice one, one shot. But why does a person slice and how does a person hook? If there was a globe right here and I was going to spin it like this. That is a slice. Outside in, outside in. That is going to spin it like that and it is going to curve it like that. That same globe, if I want it to spin it counterclockwise, I would do that. And that is exactly what you want to do with the club head. Although, you could think about your hand doing it, because the club head will do what your hand does, inside out with a little spin. That is going to spin that globe in this direction to make it hook. And those are the kind of thoughts you want to have when you are trying to hook a ball. So, if I take my hand and leave it open right now and that is going to hook the ball. And when you are learning to hook, do it too much in the beginning, because if you just try to do it a little, you're probably is still going to slice. So I am thinking of this hand, I am thinking of that clubface, I am thinking of that globe, and I am going to try to spin that globe, spin it. Yes. That was not a full swing, but believe me, that ball hooked. My hand in "swoong." That is also similar to a topspin in tennis, "Yaa!" same thing, only this time I am going to do it with a full swing. But I am going to bring it inside and I am going to try to spin that globe. That was a hook. Spin that globe, [SOUNDS LIKE] "Maa!" You cannot do it too much. 'Yaa!" you want to do it with a big swing. And once you learn how to do it a lot, you can learn how to do it a little and hit that beautiful little draw. Spin that globe, "Yaa!" to hit a hook.
