JEREMY BEUTLER: Hi, this is Jeremy Beutler, offensive line coach with the Austin Wranglers. Today we're going to demonstrate a run block, two run blocks that we use in the Arena Football League. The first one that we're going to demonstrate here is just the basic drive block. Demetrius here is going to get down in his stance and he's going to take a six inch power step, shoot his hands into the defensive lineman and drive. Alright, James if you could come up and we'll do this. On one, on one, go! Hut! Good job, good job. Now let's simulate one here with the center, the center's footwork is just a bit different. On one, go! Hut! Good job. Alright, the next block that we're going to do is basically a reach block or a hook block where we're trying to run a toss play or run something outside. So on this one, we're going to be on our stance and we're going to step out with our foot at a 45 and try to reach, what we call reach or get around the defensive end as fast as we can. On one, on one, go! Hut! That's perfect technique, excellent. James, if you want to get one here. JAMES: Reach block. JEREMY BEUTLER: Reach block. Reach or a hook block we call this. On one, go! Hut! That's good.
