JEREMY BEUTLER: Hi, this is Jeremy Beutler, defensive line coach with the Austin Wranglers. Today, we are going to talk a little pass rush. Basically, defensively as a pass rusher, as a defense of lineman, our whole objective and main goal is to get to the quarterback in Arena Football League. There is a variety of different ways that we can do this, and we are going to demonstrate a couple of different examples. The first one that we are going to--Kamau is going to show--is a bull, which when we are getting into our offensive lineman, we are bulling him, and at some point of time, he has got to make a stance to stop our charge, so we are going to pull him at that point, we are going to rip through, and hopefully the quarterback's right here waiting for us. So, first demonstration, "On one, on one, Go! Hut!" And he got me, quarterback's down. All right, the next move that we are going to demonstrate is a spin move. We are going to use this in a situation where an offensive lineman is really kicking out, and we can take the advantage of our defensive guy coming underneath. So, Barrett if you can demonstrate this for us, "On one...Go! Hut!" Great move, great move. Another one that we are going to use, that we use is what we call a club and rip. What we mean by club, is we are using our outside hand as a club right here, we are ripping through. But at the same time, we are getting our hips up field getting parallel, and ripping through. If you can demonstrate that..."On one, on one, Go! Hut!" Good job. Now, we are going to do the same thing on this side, but we are going to swim, so we are going to club, get our hips up field, and instead of ripping, we are swimming like so. "On one, on one, Go! Hut!" Good job, good job. And those are few of the key elements to our pass rush. There is quite a few different moves that the guys use, but those are some of the main ones. And that is how to rush the passer.
