JACKIE SILVER: I'm Jackie Silver with how to wax facial hair. Hair can be a beautiful thing but some women have more facial hair than they'd like. One way to remove it is to wax, which can give a great and long-lasting result because the hair isn't just cut off, it's removed from the root which takes longer to regrow, up to 6 weeks. There are many products available at beauty supply stores that are created just for waxing facing hair. You can choose a wax product that you melt yourself like we have here and then you apply it and tear it off, or you can choose wax strips that are pre-prepared and they don't require any melting. Either way, the success comes from the tearing technique. After applying the wax or the wax strip, you'll want to tear in the opposite direction from the growth pattern. This will give you a faster, better result. Another tip is to tear quickly so you have enough force to remove the hair from the root. Tearing faster also results in less pain. Once you've removed all the facial hair you want, applying some soothing aloe will minimize the redness and inflammation that may have resulted from waxing. When waxing facial hair at home, remember to pull the wax or strip off in the opposite direction from hair growth and soothe it with aloe when you're done.
