JACKIE SILVER: I'm Jackie Silver with how to reduce wrinkles. Nobody likes to look in the mirror and see wrinkles, lines and furrows showing up, and there are many ways to reduce the look of aging and reduce wrinkles. The average person will shed 40 pounds of skin in a lifetime. Old cells die off and fall off and are replaced by new cells. So it's important to take off those dead cells or exfoliate. One way is to use a fruit you can buy almost anywhere. It's best to check with your doctor before trying any home remedies. Papaya is a rich source of natural enzymes which can help in removing the dead skin cells from your face. A simple way to treat wrinkles with papaya is to cut up and mash half a papaya in a small bowl. Rub it on your face and let it stay on for about five minutes. Wash your face in lukewarm water and pat it dry with a soft towel. Removing the dead cells can reveal the fresh skin underneath, minimizing the look of wrinkles and fine lines. There are many products sold in stores that promise to reduce wrinkles but how do you know which ones work? There are certain ingredients to look for when choosing a wrinkle reducing cream. Alpha hydroxy is one ingredient that may be listed in creams that does help to reduce wrinkles by exfoliating and stimulating collagen. Beware of sensitivity to the sun when using products with hydroxy acids. Creams that list Co Q10 or retinol, both antioxidants, have also been shown to reduce wrinkles. Pregnant women should not use products containing retinol. Two important things to remember when using creams to reduce wrinkles are to keep your face out of direct sunlight and to stay away from retinol-containing products if you're pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
