RACHAEL RICHARDSON: Hi, I am Rachael Richardson and I'm a registered dietician and a licensed nutritionist. I'm from Nutrolution, Inc., and we are located in Miami, Florida. This is a beginner's guide to dieting without feeling hungry. So there are a lot of great tips here that you can get from this video. One of the most important things is to eliminate all foods that have MSG and other appetite stimulants. So that includes a lot of your processed foods. Believe it or not, even some of the popular name brand cookies and chips, actually most of them contain appetite stimulants and they contain so many of them in such small quantities that they don't list them on the label so you don't know which they are. As far as dieting without feeling hungry, another great tip that I can impart to you is to use more vegetables in your food. So vegetables contain fiber and roughage and they physically make your body feel full without adding all those calories to your diet. Another really important thing to remember if you're dieting and trying not to feel hungry, which I recommend, is to add healthy fat to every meal and snack. Healthy fat actually triggers a hormonal response in your brain that actually allows you to feel full. So, how many of you have eaten pretzels or fat-free chips or cookies to a point where you could keep on eating and eating and eating and never feel full? That's because there was no fat in it. So always include healthy fats into all of your meals and snacks. The five most important parts are: eliminate all chemicals that are appetite stimulants, add more vegetables to your plate every time you eat, include healthy fat in every meal and snack, include protein in every meal and snack and drink more water.
