MALU LUJAN: I'm just going to show you some simple techniques to do reflexology on the feet, but there are charts for the hand and other areas. So here, it just shows all these different points that correspond to, say, the bladder or your stomach and if you have an ache or a pain or a difficult digestion or headache or whatever, you can look at a reflexology chart or get your partner to do this and look at the area of the chart that's pinpointed and so for example, if you had a stomachache or you're having bad digestion, you could just look at the reflexology chart and press on that area of the foot or you could get some lotion and oil and just kind of rub that out. We're going to show you some techniques, so that you can do a little bit of massage or reflexology oriented massage on a person's feet. You don't need oil or lotion but I have a little in my hand, I just get a little bit. And on women, one of the best areas that you can work on is their ankles and their heels. And the reason for that is because these areas, what I'm doing is I'm just putting some firm pressure on the Achilles tendon and on the heel. I'm also going to do some circles around the ankle. You see that? The circles? That feels really good. And some pressure directly on the heel. The heels and the ankles have reflexology points for your sexual organs and your reproductive organs. And so, for woman, especially if they have cramps during that time of the month, rubbing the ankles and the heels can feel really, really good. And you can rub yourself. Rub your own heels and ankles or feet or you can get somebody else to do it. I prefer you get someone else. I'll show you one point, if you have hip problems, this is something I've discovered as being a massage therapist; this is a great point. I just put my thumbs right in this area and press. And this area right here, it's about a third all way up from the little toe. If somebody has hip problems, especially their upper leg area, just use some pretty good pressure on here or flex the area, stretch their feet, rub. That will really alleviate the hip problems. So those are some ideas for techniques you can use and also areas that you can look at and pinpoint to do some reflexology on the feet.
