UNIQUE ANDERSON: Hello. My name is Unique Anderson and I'm a certified personal trainer. In this clip, we're going to talk about how to crash the boards. Now, in the previous clip, we did rebounding. Crashing the boards is just an aggressive way of rebounding, meaning that you're just going to put a little bit more energy and a little bit more power into your rebound. We're setting up as a basic 21 game, and what I'm going to do is I'm going to come in - I'm kind of scared to go in right now because I got these two big guys down here - but I will make it happen. And we're going to focus on crashing the boards and showing you how that rebound is brought to life. So I'm here. I'm taking a jump shot. That's an aggressive rebound. You're bringing it back up, focusing on trying to make the shot happen. Because the thing is, is that when you're doing--when you're crashing the boards, you want to make another shot happen. You don't want to just stay there and wait for it to come to you. You want to get in there, get in the paint, dig down and grab that ball. Let's go, [SOUNDS LIKE] Lou, show me what you got. Snatch that. That's good. That's a rebound. Anything about crashing the boards is all about how to make sure that your forwards and your centers, your power forwards, get the ball back into the best plain motion possible. Because the thing is that's what you want to focus on is grabbing that ball, turning around if you're on the offense and bringing it back up; or if you're on defense, trying to dish it out to that point guard. That's crashing the boards.
