All types of fruits are very healthy for you. They all contain a variety of different nutrients, different vitamins, minerals, and fiber, but there are some fruits that stand out a little bit above the rest because they have a very high quantity of several different nutrients, in particular, things like cantaloupe, oranges, mangoes, guava, as well as other citrus fruits like grapefruit. These particular fruits are very high in vitamin C. They're also high in carotenoids, fiber, and folic acid. In addition to these particular fruits, the berries are very high in antioxidants. Things like blueberries, raspberries, and dark-colored grapes, whether they're black grapes or red grapes. These have such high levels of antioxidants that they are purported to have cancer-fighting properties. And in addition to those fruits, you also want to include fruits that have a lot of potassium such as bananas. Athletes in particular really need a lot of potassium when they're working out, sweating a lot, but besides the traditional banana, oranges have a lot of potassium as well. Cantaloupe and apricot are two other very high sources of potassium and make sure that when you're including these fruits that you don't forget to include plenty of water to help your body really process all those nutrients that you're getting from your fruits.
