Hi, my name is Joe Ann Ganci, and I've been a barber since 1980. And I'm going to demonstrate how to trim a mustache. First, you want to use a small clipper and a comb. You always want to follow right along the lip line, never go up above the lip line, keep it low. And there are all different sizes of mustaches. Some guys like them real low on the lip, so you want to bring it down underneath the nose and follow it around this contour of the lip and keep it low. Some guys like the handlebar mustaches. There are all different mustaches, so you want to make that clear when somebody comes in. Usually if they're wearing whatever they're wearing, they'll follow through. They just need to have that cleaned up, so you don't want to do too extreme to anything that comes in. You kind of follow what they have and just clean it up. But always remember to follow the lip line. And that's how you trim a mustache.
