The Richard Simmons Diet focuses on healthy eating and daily physical activity. It's based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines as well as recommendations from the American Dietetic Association. His plan these days involves an online program with an initial startup of four weeks. You have a variety of menus that you can look up and you also have online support, motivational tips, tips for exercise, as well as a host of recipes. Some of the foods that you want to include in the Richard Simmons Diet are whole grains such as whole grain pasta over a white, refined pasta. You want to make sure you include lean sources of protein such as tuna, a variety of different fruits as well as vegetables. And in choosing dairy products, you want to stick with low-fat or non-fat dairy, and as far as having fats; you want to make sure they're the healthiest type of fats, things such as olive oil for cooking. The other aspect that the Richard Simmons Diet is to be sure that you are including your daily physical activity.
