Hi, my name is Adrian Heath. I'm the head coach of the Austin Aztex, and now we're going to demonstrate the block tackle. Tackling is one of the most important parts of the game certainly in the middle-third of the pitch where the midfield players have got to get tight to people and make tackles to get ball back for their team to play. This one is just going to demonstrate, is the block tackle. So if you can Ez, Ez is going to try and get the ball off. Carlos, Carlos get it by here, just get it at your feet Carlos and then we go. And that's the block tackle. Obviously, as they get more and more--the pace of the game goes and they get a little bit quicker. So you just touch it and you tackle it Ez. There you go. Now the important thing is to make sure that you don't open your body out too much because that's going to damage your knee there. You've got to keep all your body over the top of the ball, there. The minute you go towards your toe and opens your joint, you're going to have a problem with your knee. So keep yourselves right over the top of the ball, get in all your power over it and keep that leg nicely locked out, Ez. So let's have another look. There you go. So if we could do it a little bit--with a little touch more force. Off we go. There. So notice that--all has his weight--he's over the top of the ball, he's pushing through, get your forward momentum going. So you're using all your body as well and make sure that you don't open yourself out. That's the last thing you want to do. You want to keep right over the ball to protect yourself as well. So off we go. Notice that as the ball has gone through, Ez will not tackle--important part of the game. So let's go through it again. That will do you.
