My name is Adrian Heath. I'm the head coach of the Austin Aztex, and now we're going to show you some basic goalkeeping practical demonstrations. So we've got the goalkeeper here, [PH] Craig, and he's just going to go and do some basic--if you can come in to the penalty spot for me, fellows, please. And what you want to do is heave half-volleys into his hands. I also want you to see is the movement of the goalkeeper. He gets in line. He gets his body behind the ball. And if you can just half-volley them into his hands, please. Half-volley them in. Half-volley, just drive it in. Yeah. Yes, [PH] Wes, half-volley. Good. All the time moving, getting in line with the ball. See if we can get him in here [INDISCERNIBLE], Carlos, into his waist. Good. If you see from behind, you can get--all the time you can get him in using the "W," getting his hands behind the ball. If we can just get one where he comes in--come in here for me. Come in here for me, Craig. And then if you see from behind, you'll just see the "W" formation in his hands when he is collecting the ball. He got his hands right behind the ball and a "W" in the middle of it. There you go. Very basic stuff but it's the principles. The other thing to look---as Craig is working that---is the movement of his feet. All the time, he is moving. Yes, as he comes up, moving his feet to get in line at all times. And again, good. Oh, and that one has gone through on its own. That's a goal there, Wes. Into his hands. That's one. If you can see the one that goes into the body, he gets all his body behind the ball. So if we can just play into his midrib, Wes, so he can catch it like that. There you go, in behind the ball, body behind the ball, sideways movement all the time. And again, yup. And again, good. And again, all the time lateral movement. Very, very good. Hands behind the ball, body weight behind the ball, and he's moving forward all the time. Keep going, fellows, as I'm talking. And you see he is moving forward all the time. Good. Hands behind the ball all the time. Good. And again. And if we could just now do some throws for him. Throw it. Throw it and just throw it in the air for him. Catching, getting it in the highest point. [INDISCERNIBLE] He is using his knee as leverage to get himself up catching the ball at the highest point all the time. Yup. That's good. And again, highest point. Look, he shouts for the ball. He let's everybody know that the keeper is coming for it. And he gets his knee up to protect himself and to use it as leverage to get the ball in the air. Okay. Now, if we could get on the near post for me there, please, Craig. We're just going to roll some down the side here. Come here, fellows. So look that way and then we're just going to shout "yes" and then you're going to slide--just slide them out with your hand. Yeah, throw them in that bottom corner. Yes, Wes. Go, good. Now, his quick movement across his line. Look, getting his feet--keeping his eye on the ball at all times. Yup. Let's go a bit quicker and out he comes and demonstrates getting his hands behind the ball. Now, a little bit quicker as he is going to go for it. And again, Craig. Yup. Good. And we'll have one more go through. Yup. Let's go. Sideways movement. Look, get around the post. He didn't think he could hold that one so he tipped it around the post. So two more to do. Yup. Quick feet across his line and there you go. Down he gets nice and sure. And we'll go again. Yup. Across he goes down the bottom corner and across and a perfect example to finish with. That's your basic moves for the goal keeper.
