Off-season training for football: Med ball chest pass. So this exercise, you'll need a partner, and what we're going to do, we're going to take a medicine ball, and basically what we're just going to do is you're going to do chest passes back and forth, and we're trying to be very explosive with it, all right? Well what I like you to do is try to stand with your feet parallel; this is going to help to develop stability for your core and also your lower body which will then translate into what you can do on the field while working with your arms. Okay, so I'm going to start with the ball here and you'll push straight out, and when I push straight out, I get full extension of my hands and elbows. And when I catch it, we're looking into both hands, bring it into my chest, and then straight out again, out and in. Now [PH] Joncy is going to do it full speed. So full speed chest pass. Try it always to get it to the other person's chest as fast as you can. So right now, [PH] Joncy is going to show you the bad way of throwing it. We don't want to twist to the side, to load the dominant side, and we want to keep both sides here. So you don't want to twist like [PH] Joncy will show right there to throw back. We want to keep working both hands evenly, just like so. So that was the med ball chest pass, and now we're going to move on to some grip exercises.
