Now we're going to show you how to use some different blocks using the Baat Jaam Do, the eight section knives. When the person is swinging the pole at you, you can block the same as you did a Bong Sao and with both arms here. This hand can also trap with the knife, the pole and I can slide down cutting the fingers away or the brass handle can also be used to hit like brass knuckles toward the face. So if the person is attacking here, you can block, trap, bring it down and cut. If they swing across here the other way, swing across the other way, you can also block like Kwan Sau and I can jab forward here and also slice down, slicing the hands off the same time. If the person is blocking up, swinging up, I can block across, bring it down, slice across the hands, and cut across. You can also switch the hand techniques. If they're jabbing, you can parry like a Kwan Sau and cut. This hand can trap the elbow with the knife and continue to go through another cut. So again, they're swinging this way or jabbing, you block here, I can go into a cut, I could swing down, I can trap across many different directions, cutting from many angles, once I'm connected to the blade. Just like doing a hand technique with your knives.
