Now I have on this snowshoe here and when you go in and check snowshoes they do not have to be really long. Fred here has a great snowshoe and my is a little bit shorter and Oscar's is also a msr and if you are much heavier or you do want to do some back packing and caring a 15 pound load on your back while you are snowshoeing the really nice thing about msr's which why I love them so much. I have them with me now but you can put a extension and it hooks into this hole and it would come out another 7-8 inches which would give you more foot space and it would spread your weight out in the snow. So you can adjust your snowshoes if you are using the msr's with your weight. Whether if you are heavier or a little bit lighter. The biggest mistake that most people make is getting a really long snow shoe and they don't stay snowshoeing very long because they are some combustion and difficult.
