Hi, my name is Sheryl McGlochlin and on behalf of expertvillage.com, I like to welcome you to our little snowshoeing segment today. You can find more details about snowshoeing at my website and crazysheryl.com. I want to talk about holes. You want to become kind of like a dog when you are snowshoeing, you become a 4 legged person when you have poles. It would help you to balance better and eliminate injury. The kind of pole that I use, I use the same pole for hiking and down hill skiing and snowshoeing. I'm going to have Oscar hold this pole, the most important thing is you want a down hill pole that has a very small basket. It can not have any little windows or open areas in there because it would get caught in the shrubs and little trees and branches and bushes. So that is very important and you can find poles like this at a thrift shop or a outdoor recreation places. I have never paid more then $10 for my pole. So you can find some great deals.
