Ok, this sometimes is what you'll see at the end of practices. Your coach might be mad at you, just depending on, just however he feels, but these are generally called gassers or line drills, and in football, what they do is they line you up on one sideline, and you run to the other sideline back, there, and back, so unfortunately, Steve go ahead and start out, and he's got a good form, and really what you want to do is start off with a good explosion, pacing yourself a little bit, and this is usually where it kicks in, but he's fully warmed up. He's fully hydrated. He's ready to go. Now essentially, this can be a good workout. There's nothing wrong with it. It usually is maybe about thirty to a minute, thirty seconds to a minute ofrunning, depending on your speed and your level. You don't want to kill yourself doing it, but it's definitely something that is good for the cardio. It's short running for some people like myself, who can't run miles and miles at a time, and you can do this back to back. You can do this three, four times, and usually that's an adequate workout.
