The next segment we're going to talk about is - Where's your head? Now, in some of my demonstrations, in previous, previous episodes you've seen me maybe looking towards the camera, this is just for the purpose of, you know, talking to you guys, things like that. In actuality, what you want to do is, once you get your head in position, get your timing, boom, you go to contact, you want to stay looking at the ball as long as possible. Why is this? If I'm looking over here at Sally in the stands, I'm looking at Bob the third baseman, things like that, how am I going to see the ball if I'm looking like this? Also, you want to worry about it, what you want to worry about is, o.k., looking too far down. Maybe only catching a little glimpse of it, through the corner of your eye, you want to both eyes focused on the ball. As we talked about in our stance, we want to keep both eyes focused on the Pitcher and follow the ball in. We also want to keep both eyes focused on the ball all the way through contact. So, here we go, boom, keep my head on the ball as long as possible. Now, it's, it's fairly easy to do that, but where people run into small, little problems is, they make contact here and then they start to look - "Oh where did I hit the ball?" Did I hit a line drive? Did I pop it up? Did I hit a ground ball? No, that's going to affect your swing, it may be a small little bit, but Baseball is a game of inches. So, if I make contact with the ball here, instead of here, or here, it's all going to affect where the ball goes. So, keep your head down, boom, there we go, now you're ready to go to first base or second base. That's checking your head.
