Now we're going to talk about is the actual point of contact where the ball meets the bat. Now, as you can see the bat has, you know, kind of, extends out. It starts out skinny goes to a little bit wider. There's a spot called the "Sweet Zone", which is about this section right in here. It varies from bat to bat but it's in general that vicinity. Now actually making contact with the ball, if you make it in here, that's when you feel the vibration in your hands, you know you pull it down the line, something like that. Out in here, again you're going to feel the vibration, you're going to foul it off to right field, you're going to pop it up. So, the actual point of contact, what you want to do, so you go through all your steps, you have your solid base, you know, you have your trigger, you have your timing. The point of contact, as you can see, my hands right there are going, is directly down, I'm going to get the bat to the point of contact, I'm going to make contact with the ball. So you can see my bat, I'll just hold it here, it's pretty much hitting it right in the Sweet Zone" right there. So, here we go, here's our point of contact. Boom, right there, again, boom, right there. And of course, actually making contact with the ball is the most important part. So, just keep in mind you want to hit the ball right in the center of the bat. And that was the point of contact.
