When you're planning your day hike, there are a lot of things that you want to think about. One of the most important is do you want to go by yourself or do you want to hike with other people. There are a lot of different considerations there. If you hike with other people you are going to have to consider is there skill level going to be compatible with your skill level? Are you going to be able to keep up with them? Are they going to be able to keep up with you? Also are they going to want to talk the entire time? Are you going to want to talk the entire time? When you talk while you are hiking it doesn't really give you an opportunity to really absorb everything that you're taking in. It also will scare off any wild life that may be present in the area that you?re hiking. So you want to take that into consideration. There's absolutely nothing wrong with hiking by yourself. It can be most enjoyable. You can really clear your mind, really enjoy, you know, the experience of being out in the wilderness by yourself. So those are two different things to consider. A lot of people aren't comfortable with hiking by themselves and that's totally understandable so you're going to want to take somebody along with you if that's the case. But don't give up hiking by yourself because it really can be enjoyable.
